The GLL Sport Foundation supports athletes from a diverse number of sports and not only competing for Great Britain, but for other countries too. Adrien Coulibaly is a good example of this; Adrien lives in the borough of Hammersmith & Fulham and trains at GLL’s Mile End track, but competes for France.
Adrien has been having some troubles with his hamstring but has used our support and partnership with Crystal Palace Physio Group to get him back to full strength for the season.
Adrien has raced in France twice, and I won both. A few weeks ago in Newham, he ran a personal best in the 400m with the time of 48.15 which makes me him one of the best under 23s in France. Last week at Crystal Palace, during the South of Englang Championships, Adrien went through the heat and semi final. Unfortunately in the final he didn’t quite make podium, finishing an encouraging 4th place.
Adrien is getting closer to reach his goal which is qualificatation for the relay 4×4 U23 European Championships with the French national team. We wish him the best of luck for the remainder of the season!
