GLL Sport Foundation supports seven Ice Hockey Players from Swindon

The GLL Sport Foundation are supporting seven Ice Hockey players from the Swindon area. All are aged between 16 and 18 and several are in the Great Britain junior squads.

The 7 Okanagan Hockey Academy players have recently completed their season. They were instrumental in the Academy going unbeaten in their league season, winning the Playoff Championships held at the Link Centre operated by GLL in Swindon and recently just missed out in the National Final.

Jordan Kelsall, Harry Gulliver and Mac Howlett have also recently been selected for the training camp for Great Britain U18 for the forthcoming season. All three represented GB U18 at the World Championships in Romania in February. The U20 Great Britain selections will be announced shortly.

Coach, Paul Kelsall said, “all seven players are grateful to GLL for the support given. The award from GLL assists the players in their pursuit in advancing their development.”

We are looking forward to seeing how the seven youngsters develop and will look out for them on the international circuit in the future.
