Noah Capps lives in South Devon and has been surfing since seven years of age and surfs or trains every day. When he’s not in the surf, you will find him skating and now increasingly in the pool and at the gym at his local sports centre thanks to the help of Tone Leisure and Quayside Sport Centre.
Noah started on mini foam boards as a toddler and had his first proper hand shaped board at age 8. One of his first real sessions was filmed and the video received thousands of hits! He entered his first contest at 9 and won, and from there has made numerous national finals and last year won the first event of the British round of the Rip Curl Grom Search series.
With a French Mum, Noah spends a lot of time visiting the beachbreaks in the South West of France and is a fluent speaker and really enjoys learning new languages, something he hopes will help him later. Noah is part of the Surf GB squad and will be training with the group in the U.K. and in France throughout the year. Noah regularly visits the Canaries in the winter and has also been lucky enough to surf in Australia. He surfs before and after school with his family and friends and loves being in the ocean!
Noah has started 2016 with a second place in the English National Championships and is really keen to build upon this. He is also filming when he can to boost his online profile and you can follow Noah at https://www.instagram.com/noah_capps3/ and at http://noahcapps.tumblr.com/. This is also being used for training videos released by 110% Surf Techniques.
Noah has recently visited his primary sponsor, Protest Sportswear, in Holland to attend media training days. Contests run throughout the year and culminate in the British Championships in the autumn, where Noah will look to make another final and improve on the third place he gained last year. In the meantime it is all about having fun and pushing his surfing as far as he can!
