I started triathlon nearly 3 years ago now. I had previously run cross country and played hockey for my university (so not swum competitively or even picked up a bike!)
My short term goals, for next season, will be to be selected for the GB team for the World U20 Championships in Finland and to improve my personal bests for 400m, 800m and 1500m.
Last season was a phenomenal season for me when I became European Junior Champion in Hungary for the 200m Butterfly, with a new British age group record of 2.08.87.
My biggest achievement to day would probably be winning the Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa alongside my 10 national titles. I am fully hoping to take home a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games….
Not only do I get funding that goes towards renewing and fixing my kit each season but I also get a gym membership that gives me the accessibility to train where ever I am in London.
14 year old GSF supported Judo athlete Thea Griffey has had a fantastic two months of competitions. Thea is the Sussex Champion and won many National medals throughout 2015 and carrying on into 2016.
This year I have been selected for the U20 GB team at the Junior World Orienteering Championships to be held in Switzerland in July, and well as the U18 GB team for the Junior European Cup in Scotland in September.
