WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO – NEVER FORGET WE ALL MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE
After being inspired watching the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, I attended a para-fest in December of that year where I was tested by Great Britain Cycling Team coaches.
My short term goals, for next season, will be to be selected for the GB team for the World U20 Championships in Finland and to improve my personal bests for 400m, 800m and 1500m.
My biggest honour so far in my Career is being selected to represent Team GB in the Rio Paralympic games 2016 in the mens T54/ T53 wheelchair marathon. The race did not go to plan and finished 14th after a technical problem….
2017 has been an interesting year competitively where I have taken advantage of being able to enter senior events, as well as continuing to progress through the Under-14s and Under-15s. Fencing likes its age categories…..
The GLL Sport Foundation has helped me a lot this year, they have given me support for my rocky season. I had to go up to Leeds from Plymouth for recovery and rehab and the GLL has helped fund my time up there along with British Diving.
