Imani Lansiquot, the second fastest British junior of all time, hopes to be an encouragement to young women and show that there is “more to life than where you are from or your background.”
After being inspired watching the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, I attended a para-fest in December of that year where I was tested by Great Britain Cycling Team coaches.
My short term goals, for next season, will be to be selected for the GB team for the World U20 Championships in Finland and to improve my personal bests for 400m, 800m and 1500m.
GLL is extremely supportive in my journey as an athlete. Being able to access facilities all over London for me is extremely valuable with my hectic schedule and the money has been a great asset towards warm weather training camps.

The GLL Sport Foundation has helped me a lot this year, they have given me support for my rocky season. I had to go up to Leeds from Plymouth for recovery and rehab and the GLL has helped fund my time up there along with British Diving.
