European Championships 2018 Success

European Championships 2018 Success

GSF Athlete’s have had unbelievable success over the last 10 days at the European Championships 2018.

Things could not have gone better for Dina Asher-Smith in Berlin. Taking home three Gold medals, Dina smashed the 100m and 200m finals, and then brought home the 4x100m Gold alongside fellow GSF sponsored athletes Bianca Williams and Imani-Lara Lansiquot.  She began the European Championships 2018 with high expectations, and emerged as a sprinting star.

Congratulations Dina for making history! Also to Bianca for reaching the 200m final and Imani for doing the same in the 100m final! Great work girls.

Shelayna Oskan-Clarke and Adelle Tracey both earned their places in the women’s 800m final, but unfortunately missed out on medals!

Dwayne Cowan was part of the men’s Silver medal winning 4x400m team. Brilliant work Dwayne.

Eden Cheng and her partner Lois Toulson put in an excellent performance to dive their way to Gold in the women’s 10m synchronised final.

GSF athlete Noah Williams and his partner Mathew Dixon managed to better their Bronze medal from last year to win Silver for Great Britain in the synchronised diving 10m final.

Congratulations to Scarlett Mew-Jensen on her first time being selected for GB squad at senior level.

Josephine Wratten and Emily Ashford, along with their team  Sara Parfett, Caragh McMurtry finished fourth place in the 2,000m final. Harry Leask and Jack Beaumont earned a bronze in the double sculls.

Tom Dean and Calum Jarvis helped GB to a 4x200m freestyle swimming Gold medal in the pool.

Finally, well done to Jade Lally for reaching the women’s discus final, Nick Miller for reaching the men’s hammer throw final and to Dan Bramble for reaching the men’s long jump final.
