British Swimming has announced the 22 athletes that have been selected for their British Diving World Class Programme for the 2019/20 season and we are proud to announce 12 of them are GLL Sport Foundation athletes.
Athletes on the World Class Programme are eligible to receive training camp and competition opportunities throughout the selected season, as well as access to world-class sports science and medicine services, and comprehensive support from British Swimming performance staff and national institute of sport programmes across the UK. With all selected athletes being big contenders for medals at the Olympics. As GSF supported athletes we are proud to have been able to support them to this point in there careers. Once again our athletes are recognised as potential Team GB stars and we hope this additional support can make the difference next year in Tokyo.
A huge congratulations to Eden Cheng, Tom Daley, Matty Lee and Grace Reid who have been placed on the Podium programme and Desharne Bent-Ashmeil, Robyn Birch, Ben Cutmore, Scarlett Mew Jensen, Maria Papworth, Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix, Noah Williams and Josie Zillig who have been placed on the Podium Potential programme.
