James Miller Surreys Young Sports Personality Of The Year

James Miller – Surrey's Young Sports Personality of the Year

It has been a great year for GSF athlete James Miller who has rounded off 2018 with the amazing achievement of winning BBC Surrey Elite Young Personality of the Year.

James was awarded this for his many successes which include holding 2 British Junior records, being the National Schools Pistol Champion for 2 years and having the opportunity to represent Great Britain in the Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Games this year as the only British contender. He also did Epson & Ewell proud by not only bringing home the only award for Epsom & Ewell borough at the Surrey Sports Awards but winning Young Sports Personality of the Year at the Epsom & Ewell Sports Awards 2018.

The 10 air pistol shooter was also praised for being a role model for the way he acts, coaching, supporting and mentoring other pistol and rifle shooters to be the best they can be. Having started this sport as a Scout 8 years ago, he has gone from strength to strength very quickly, raising awareness of pistol shooting and has been an inspiration to other pistol shooters.

Big congratulations to James for all his accomplishments, everyone at GSF are very proud and can’t wait to see what next you achieve!
