Gavin Rumgay, GLL Sport Foundation supported Scottish Table Tennis star has been chosen as January’s athlete of the month. Gavin has had a successful sporting past in table tennis, badminton and tennis amongst others, but is now a professional table tennis player. This month Gavin competed at the World Championships and reached the last eight – a fantastic achievement! The World Championships were televised on Sky Sports over the 19th-20th January weekend, with Gavin getting a lot of coverage and being described as the ‘crowd favourite.’
Not only is Gavin a professional table tennis player, but Gavin has become the first UK player in 20 years to have has own Branded Table Tennis racket called the ‘Rumgay Reactor’.
