Snap shot - this week's athlete successes

With many athletes now into a strong bank of winter training with weather getting tougher, below is a snap shot of this weeks successes showcasing that your fellow athletes are in competition mode and delivering successes, whether you are training or competing you are all one team, work hard and strive for success.  We are here to support you on that journey.

Kieran Owens (aged 15) in wakeboarding wins European Championships bronze medal.  AWESOME!

Sarah Leiter (aged 27) in goal ball wins National ‘Women of the Future’ Award.  BRILLIANT!

Holy Dunford (aged 18) wins SportsAid National ‘One To Watch Award’.  CHAMPION!

James McGivern (aged 18) in boxing wins Ulster National Boxing Title.  DESTROYER!

  • James explained the impact of the programme “Massive thanks to everyone who supported and had me in their thoughts. Also @gllsf for their continued support alongside @Better_NI couldn’t do this without you”.
Chris Gregory (aged 28) and Jake Sheaf (aged 27) in beach volleyball secure Commonwealth Games 2018 – Gold Coast selection.  EXCELLENT!

Alexandra Snowdon (aged 10) and her partner in ice skating wins GB bronze medal at European Competition. FABULOUS!

Zoe Harrison (aged 18) in rugby union, makes her senior England debut in test series against Canada. GRITTY!
