As the Commonwealth Games return to Glasgow from 23 July to 2 August, the GLL Sport Foundation (GSF) is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievement of 115 past and present supported athletes who have been selected to compete on one of the biggest stages in Commonwealth sport.
Representing nine nations across a wide range of sports, this year's Commonwealth Games will feature 41 current GSF athletes alongside 74 GSF alumni. From Olympic and Paralympic medallists to exciting young prospects making their Commonwealth Games debuts, GSF past and present athletes will compete across athletics, swimming, cycling, boxing, gymnastics, judo, netball, wheelchair basketball, para sport and weightlifting.
The athletes will represent England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Jamaica, Ghana, Saint Lucia, Zambia and the Isle of Man, showcasing both the breadth of the GLL Sport Foundation's reach and the diversity of talent it continues to support across the UK and beyond.
The Commonwealth Games have long provided unforgettable sporting moments, and Glasgow 2026 promises to be no different. Whether competing for medals, personal bests or valuable international experience, every athlete has earned their place through years of dedication, perseverance and hard work.
Everyone at the GLL Sport Foundation wishes all 115 athletes the very best of luck over the coming weeks. We look forward to following their performances and celebrating their achievements throughout the Games!
